Have you ever travelled at that speed on the highway before?
Some of my friends have, on the autobahn where there’s simply no speed limits.
The fastest I’ve done is 230 km/h, but I won’t tell you where :p
At that speed, everything becomes quite a blur.. but you feel more alive than ever as your senses sharpen acutely due to survival instincts.
But recently, I’ve been travelling at 280km/h and more.
It’s on the highway of life and still accelerating.
So pardon me for not stopping by to say hi to you my fellow co-sojourner.
I have lots more I wanna share with you about the highway of life – the more than 50 unpublished draft entries is a testament to that.
But first things first, it’s no joke travelling at that speed, I needa concentrate on what’s important.
Recently I’ve been involved in more than 1 tech startup, on top of my busy consulting work, and recent expansion of one of my retail businesses. And to top it up the launch of my CNET Asia blog.
Sometimes people remark “it’s no fun being me”
Hell, when you’re travelling at 280km/h, who needs fun?
Every moment is hair-raising.
LoL. Just kidding.
Life is about seasons.
“To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to break down and a time to build up,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together,
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to get and a time to lose,
A time to keep and a time to cast away,
A time to rend and a time to sew,
A time to keep silence and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Amplified
Guess us Singaporeans find the concept of seasons harder to grapple with in ever-sunny Singapore.
Now is blazing summer for me.
What about you, what season are you in?
