There are quite a few of these tricks in varied forms. I personally know of friends who fell victim to car jacking, at least 3 of my friends have lost their cars in Malaysia.
This particular one came in my inbox not too long ago – treat it as a ‘highway tip’ from the HighwayBlogger.
This message is to alert those of you who may be driving to Malaysia for short trips.
Travel by all means and have a pleasurable outing. Be extra careful and avoid getting into trouble.
Alert all car owners, especially those who drive to Malaysia, this is the new trick of car jacking !!!
BEWARE OF PAPER AT THE BACK GLASS OF YOUR VEHICLE
NEW WAY TO DO CAR JACKING
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
You start the engine and shift into Reverse. When you look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car hacker’s) appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity is now compromised!
BEWARE OFTHIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away.
Remove the paper later.
That’s a tip for you when driving in Malaysia. There are quite a few others which I will cover next time.
Are you sure that story is true?
those car hackers in malaysia never fail to come up wif innovative ways of car jacking… tat’s truly malaysia hur!
FYI I’ve been driving on the Malaysian highway almost weekly for the past 6 years before moving to Singapore. It has never happened to me. 😛

Take the necessary precautions and try not to worry when youd rive in there. Folklore says, the more you worry, the more likely it is to happen.
Just hope and pray for everyone’s safety. Keep a defense weapon in ur driver seat. For me, I’ve got a bicycle handlebar.
those guys are very creative aren’t they.
